The purpose of a firearm is to destroy, to wound, maim and kill, it is not a toy it is a tool with a definitive purpose and certainly not a toy by design. There is no such thing as responsible playing with a tool of destruction, to think so is outright foolish and irresponsible and far away from common sense. |

This happened to 2 local middle schoolers just in the last few months, one of them being a friend of my niece. 7th grader taking a selfie holding a hand gun under his chin to look “cool” and it went off accidentally. I believe the second incident just happened in October and is still under investigation. Incredibly, I believe they both survived.

Looked deliberate, as he had to stop and turn off the safety, etc. then point it again. Other than that, WTF could he possibly have been trying to accomplish here???

ugh, how is this NOT a suicide. there was no 'accident'. he just shot himself in the head on purpose. failed the first time and then went back for the win...
