Re: Swimming Instructor Dies from Breath Training
Someone needs to call the Guinness Book of World Records because I don’t think anyone can hold their breath longer than he can. The second record might be the level of stupidity by all of the witnesses. And maybe next time, try seeing how long you can hold your breath OUT of water. The two times can’t be that different. |

Re: Swimming Instructor Dies from Breath Training
Depriving your brain of oxygen for too long is a one way ticket to the mortuary. Dead for no damn good reason |

Floating face down like a corpse on the surface kind of makes it hard for others to notice if you start dying. Especially when the others are as stupid as she was. There are better ways to go about this.

Re: Swimming Instructor Dies from Breath Training
For those wondering this is shallow water blackout. Your brain sends a signal to you cardiovascular system that causes vascular contractions because your face is wet Basically your brain convinces your body you are drowning because your face is wet. This leads to hypoxia. It can even happen in your bathtub. He didn’t even know he was out. It is not a slow onset it happens very quickly
