Re: Swift Beheading of Guy in the Street

I'm always wondering if your head comes off that quick do you live for a couple of seconds or is it instant death?
Studies have shown that the head actually retains consciousness for up to 20 seconds after beheading... I thought it was about half this, like 8-11 seconds, then I actually saw a tv docu a few days ago that said 15-20 seconds. I'm sure it varies case by case...

What studies? The only studies I could find were incredibly flawed, such as looking for eye movement...which can be completely involuntary even when people are still alive.

If ya gonna lose your dome, thats the way to go. No screaming, gurgling blood, puking, or unnecessary suffering.
Unnecessary suffering is always a fun time though.

It doesn't matter if it's voluntary or involuntary, the fact that they are alive when it happened is the point. Only people who are alive move their eyes, dead people don't.

Re: Swift Beheading of Guy in the Street

At least I'm not aware of anyone moving their eyes after they're dead...
