I feel like jumpers tend to regret their decisions because human beings in general are naturally indecisive and the seconds between committing to the act and the finality allow for a complete flow of rational thought before it’s all said and done. some of them were not completely committed to killing themselves, and that intervening period where their fate was all but decided allowed for moments of regret. But that’s not to say everyone who attempts suicide is not determined to end their life, rather than going through some phase.
