To be fair, he used to be ridiculously rich, used to luxury etc so I can see how going to prison could make him suicidal. I read he was looking at 16 years. He's 53. He could have ended up spending his last days there. So I guess he just thought "fuck that".

I can think that way too if it would be a prison in Russia or some Latin America country but that was in US or Europe right ? Totally wrong decision because of his former luxury life.
