Aren't .308 and 7.62 essentially the same round diameter-wise? The question of what caliber this clown was using was answered in post #132 on page 14 of this thread. |

The .308 and the 7.62 NATO both use the exact same projectiles. NATO brass has a thicker case wall, and can withstand higher pressures. There is virtually no difference in the dimensions of the case, and in a modern firearm, factory loads of either caliber can safely be used interchangeably in both. The 7.62X39, however, uses a .311 diameter bullet, as does the British .303 and the Russian 7.62X54R. The ammo shown in the pictures was not brass cased, it was copper washed steel cases, which is quite common in military surplus ammo. The red band between the bullet and the case is a red sealant, used almost exclusively in steel-core ammunition. |

lol love how people are like "guns are evil, and people with them are stupid heathens, and there's no good reason to have a gun".... until it's their ass that needs protected from a criminal with guns, if someone you cared about was beside you and a gun fight breaks out, even if you aren't targeted, and they get shot and killed in front of you, are you going to still keep telling the world that you are glad that you or your friend don't have any guns? it's been said time and time again, it's not the guns that you need protection from, it's the criminals with guns that you need to worry about...except in all foreign countries, apparently all crime involving guns just completely stopped suddenly and now they just resort to throwing rocks and sticks while hurling insults to resolve hostage situations and gang fights....at least that's how most of the non americans in this thread try to make it sound...
