Suicide Bombing in Indonesia
A blast outside the police headquarters in the Indonesian city of Medan in North Sumatra was a suspected suicide bombing, a police spokesman said today. Tatan Atmaja, spokesman for the North Sumatra police, said some officers had been wounded in the blast that occurred at 8:40 am (0140 GMT) and that the suspected suicide bomber had died in the attack. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear, but Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country, has suffered a resurgence in homegrown militancy in recent years, with some attacks targeting police. |

I think cause none of the police died.. which was what he was trying to do.. the suicide part, he didn't fail at.. But the bombing.. well he only bombed himself. Officers were injured but he's the only one who died |

Indonesian police said they have identified the suspected suicide bomber who blew himself up outside police headquarters in Indonesia's city of Medan, wounding six people. National police spokesman Dedi Prasetyo said the suspect, who died at the scene, was identified with fingerprint results as a 24-year-old university student born in Medan who goes by the initials of RMN. He is believed to have acted as a "lone wolf", though police were investigating whether he had links to any militant group. Prasetyo said four police officers and two civilians, one of whom was a police employee, had been wounded by the blast in a car park at Medan police headquarters shortly before 9am. What a fucking retard. He put the bomb in a backpack and explodes it with intended targets in front of him, thereby making himself a shield and protecting them from the force of the blast. All you young would-be terrorists take note.
