I don't doubt that at all in your uncle's case. My point is that we are dealing with an entirely different culture where the event chronicled here took place. Many threads on this site attest to the indifference of people in that part of the world to the outworking of "karma" where others are concerned.

If so, she bought in on the deal all the way. Or maybe not quite, as another person suggested? She did appear to flinch right at the last split second as if trying to get out of the way. If that was her decision it came too late as choo choo had her nailed.
