Re: Suicidal Guy Goes Lying on the Tracks at Night when Train Arrives
Just thinking out loud here.. what's the point in stopping the train? Conductor should call it in and proceed. There isn't really a crime scene investigation, is there? There is camera footage proving what happened. I just don't see the sense in dinging the train's "on-time" performance stats. Not to mention, if this is a passenger train there's a whole lot of folks gonna be late for something.

Why stop the train? It’s not like they can do anything. Except get out and take pictures of the body. Maybe pose along side it. Take a piece of clothing as a souvenir. Engage in inappropriate behavior with a corpse. Never mind |

Re: Suicidal Guy Goes Lying on the Tracks at Night when Train Arrives
It’s insensitive if he doesn’t stop the train. There’s nothing that can be done other than move the train forward enough to clean up the mess, but, it’s important to stop and bow your head in a moment of silence to snicker at the dead guy underneath the train. |

I suspect he died on many spots after that impact. But this does show the experience from the driver's POV. One second it's a boring shift, then you get a NASTY surprise. Sympathy for the driver. |

People that want to off themselves should find better ways to do it, without disrupting the lives of those who want to just do their job and go home after their shift.

Re: Suicidal Guy Goes Lying on the Tracks at Night when Train Arrives
For real. Always found it to be shitty of someone to do this. You just traumatized a person for the rest of their life, just because you wanted to end yours. Accidents happen, people get stuck on railroads and stuff like that. But to deliberately jump in front of a train or any moving object is shitty. You could have at least waited until after the person operating the train passed, jump under it towards the end of the cars.

I second that, WHY are they stopping the train?!? They just hit a speed bump and there's nothing they can do. Just make that call and have them scoop up the leftover curry from the splatter ![]() :rocko n |
