Stormy Black Sea Sweeps Two Intoxicated Tourists From Beach
Two male tourists, one of them has been identified as a resident of Moscow, in a state of alcohol intoxication went into the rough surf deliberately to "play with the Black sea." The men entered the water during a severe storm. A powerful rip current and heavy waves eventually swept them off their feet and away from the shoreline. Eyewitnesses filmed the event and published it online. Emergency services received the alert at 4:45 PM. Rescue teams deployed to the cliffs because the waves made walking the shoreline impossible. Rescuers spotted the men floating roughly 80 meters from the shore, but extreme wave heights prevented them from reaching or pulling the bodies in. The victims were last seen floating near the Mysjinyje Nory cliffside area before disappearing entirely. Marine vessels cannot enter the open water due to the weather. The regional rescue team is conducting visual ground inspections along the coastline between Agoy and Tuapse. |

Kellyhound, you had me at "stormy black"! Would have had better chances running from drones at the frontlines than walking in that surf. |
