This incident is why i always locate all exits of whatever building i enter its also why I hate crowded venues. I have been in emergency situations, and people panic and become stupid. the end result is always tragic and heart breaking. its like the security gaurd at the one exit telling people they couldnt use that exit as it was for the band only  dude the fucking building is on fire gtfo of my way. |

This happened in the town I live. You're almost guaranteed to run into someone who was in or knew someone who was there that night. On a sidenote the site of the fire is being turned into a memorial.

I'm the same way. And I would have put the security guard "out of my way". I always tell my wife, you always follow my lead and do exactly as I say (if somethings happening). If all else fails, I'm throwing a chair through one of those windows. |

Fire sure is quick but I had a run in with water and is even quicker, almost no time to react before it washes you away, I was dragged inside my car for a while but I managed to escape. This video taught me that the "stay calm and walk out towards the exit during a fire" will get you killed it is more like "run to the exit in less than a minute or you are toast"! |
