\ One hardly needs to go that far back. Remember Northern Ireland ("The Troubles")? Remember the 30 Years War? During the whole Reformation vs. Counter Reformation era Catholics and Protestants were executing and slaughtering each other. That said, it is true that the Christian scriptures do not advocate violence against non believers as the Koran does. Followers of the later do have an easier time justifying their violence in terms of their religion. |
