"Bend of the curve" or no, that driver should be strung up. Good visibility and had he been going at a good speed for that area he could've corrected. Completely preventable.  |

I was always taught to expect people to do the dumbest shit imaginable and plan for worse than that. Can’t tell how blind or if that even is a blind corner, but there’s no way I’d stop on a roadway or even next to a roadway. Obviously the car driver is at fault, but damn, having right of way isn’t worth dying for. How stupid of the bicyclists.

That's what gets me about traffic related deaths. As a rule, they're completely preventable with a modicum of preparedness and responsibility. Don't drive drunk, slow the hell down if your visibility is impeded, if you're a pedestrian, make damn sure the way is clear before crossing and move your ass, don't dawdle, if you're too tired to drive pull the hell over and take a nap, etc. Talk about senseless deaths. Sorry for the rant. I just get annoyed by these.  |
