I was sent to South Africa for work a couple of years ago, and our South African counterparts required me to take a tactical driving course to learn evasion and escape techniques before I flew over. They required the two colleagues I was traveling with to undergo self-defense and weapons training as well, but I talked my way out of it because I was a commissioned officer in the Army. I didn't disclose that I was a signals intelligence officer, which means my role in a combat situation would more or less be "cower behind the infantry" - but they wanted me to take classes that started at 4:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Fuuuuck that. The point is, though, that the sociocultural instability in the hinterlands is tearing the country apart. Everyone you talk to over there knows a farmer who has been murdered, or a 14-year-old girl who vanished while walking home from school, and on and on. The aforementioned tactical driving course was awesome, by the bye. The best part was what they called "redline reversing", where they teach you how to drive backwards at full-throttle without flipping 46 times. Highly recommended. |

Took too long pulling the trigger for it to be a hit. If he didn't struggle and just got out of the car, he'd have lived, maybe... You just don't know with those South African blacks... Their brains typically have relatively crudely evolved frontal and temporal lobes, resulting in deficiency of reasoning, judgement, morality, emotion, creativity, problem solving etc... Please don't misjudge me as a backwards racist phrenologist, this is a biological fact. In certain ecological niches in Sub-Saharan Africa, life was brutally difficult, while evolving to meet the demands of their environment, the only mental energy they could afford to expend was that involving killing and taking what they required to survive. Hence further evolution of the cerebral cortex over the millennia was retarded (in comparison to the genetic lines that spread elsewhere and were forced to adapt to new ecological environments). Apartheid, racism aside, was instituted for VERY GOOD reason. Two different organisms cannot occupy the same ecological niche (a rule of biological science). Case in point. |
