Yeah that was my initial thought as well, the jumping really threw me off, it just doesn't make sense, but im going to take your word for it lol.

Its weird that both guys checked with the men on the ground before jumping but the rope offered no resistance, which makes me think maybe something wasn't connected properly. The rappel videos ive seen dont have the people jumping off the way he did without carrying a lead to have some control of their decent.
Holy shit, are you Aussie?... I was in that exercise in 2011 Talisman Saber!. Got plenty of shit memories of that ex haha, good ones too.
