Re: Sniper Shot Through Eyepiece by Another Sniper
it's time we clamor for accuracy in post titles! these misleading titles drive me nutz!! with modern military grade scopes it is impossible for a bullet to pass through with enough of it left to make a clean kill. WWII era scopes, perhaps. Vietnam? eh! not likely. and the total lack of any shot of the losing scope tells me there was none. this title is completely made up.

Re: Sniper Shot Through Eyepiece by Another Sniper
There have been several cases like this. Moshe Dayan got sniped while looking through binocolars during one of Israel's numerous skirmishes....He survived but wound up with his famous eye patch. ......Also, Carlos Hathcock, who was the most sucessful sniper in Vietnam, also did this, when he spotted the reflection of another sniper's scope, which was centered on him. It was just a matter of who shot first, and it turned out to be Carlos. I'm sure that several U.S. snipers during Iraq/Afghanistan have had the same experience.
