Re: Sniper Shot Through Eyepiece by Another Sniper
Highly highly unlikely that it was done through the scope... unless the "scope" was merely ironsights of some sort, like the old style crosshair, which would be pretty stupid for a sniper to use.

Re: Sniper Shot Through Eyepiece by Another Sniper
that's exactly what I was thinking, and I wondered if anyone else knew mythbusters supposedly busted this myth

Re: Sniper Shot Through Eyepiece by Another Sniper
Myth Busters also dropped the ball just like many times before on "gun myths" because they are from Cali and are so firearms ignorant it hurts. Glass does destroy lead projectiles quite easily; they never once tried an "AP" (armor piercing, either hardened steel, depleted uranium or tungsten) round. Had they done so, they would see that it would go clean through. Just like when they where shooting different guns into a pool and took them quite a while to realize that the high velocity rounds were fragmenting. Had they tested AP at that point they would have had some holes in the other side of the pool! =)
