A lot of people knew this was going to happen within the gay community. This was more or less a democratic attempt to sway the leftist and gay vote. We do this a lot in the USA. Honestly, people should pay more attention to the political climate. More often than not (most people are the same, they seek the same thrills, night clubs, shit like that) so they are a prime target. At least they aren't shooting up places where intelligent people are.  :
