Looks to me like the victim didn't realize the robber was armed until it was too late only noticed someone grabbing his phone and fought back as a man normally would against a grab and run thief. Waiter takes it like a boss he is calm AF like it happens every day  |

Yeah, I agree. If the robber had just shown the gun first, there probably wouldn't have been a shooting. Instead, the robber just grabs the phone. I think it's just instinct for grabbing back at something that is snatched from your hand without knowing the situation.
