News; Excavator Driver Killed By Crane Carrying Quarry Machine in India 02.01.2025 - An excavator driver was crushed to death by a hydraulic crane while moving a quarry machine at a construction site in India on Monday. The incident also became a hot topic among virtual citizens, especially those working in the construction sector. According to international news reports, the incident occurred at the Maruti Industries factory in Mangrol near Surat when a large crane collapsed on another smaller crane during a building construction operation. At the time of the incident, the victim, Shahid Pathan, along with other colleagues, were installing a quarry machine in the area. As the hydraulic crane tried to move the machine, the structure of the crane became unstable due to the soil settling underneath it, causing the machinery to overturn and crush the excavator. As a result of the incident, the victim was confirmed dead on the scene and the crane was also completely destroyed. Another worker who was at the location was lucky to have managed to escape and survived being hit by the large crane.
