watch the documentary about the golden gate bridge, you'll understand some bob and lose consciousness and then go under. it's also possible he hit his head on a piece of driftwood just under the surface. he also could have had his eardrums rupture and become disoriented. but it is possible to lose consciousness after hitting and bobbing like that.  |

The boat crews might've had props on their motors that can chop a victim up...but never mind that...at least they had bright red boats so they could be easily seen.
