Andrej Beuc from Slovenia died after jumping into the Drina river during today's competition. The incident happened in Zvornik, on the border between Bosnia and Serbia.

After he jumped off the twenty meters high bridge, Slovenian emerged once and raised his hand to call for help but immediately sank. The rescue boats headed toward him, but could not reach him.

Divers are trying to find him, but muddy water makes it difficult to find the body. The competition was suspended.

Andrej Beuc was born in 1982 in Krsko, and was experienced jumper and skydiver.

I tried finding some information on what happened to the diver. Apparently, he drowned by either hitting his head on something when he landed in the water and he lost consciousness; or he drowned by having something pull him down into the water. What that "something" that possibly pulled him down is up for debate.

i saw the dive from a different angle, looked like he didnt hit the water right.. maybe he the water hit is head and he lost conscious of what he was doing and the under current pulled him.
