Were the police there to evict her at that time or to just serve the papers for her to evict at a later date. If its the latter, why didn't the police just leave after they served the papers and leave her alone? I'm sure its not illegal to carry a knife in ones own home!!! I really don't think it's the police job to do evictions in America. I'm sure there are people getting evicted everyday in America without intervention from the police, what makes this one so different???

I think when the Sheriff’s show up with the eviction paperwork they are evicting the resident right away. She got notices before that point, she just chose to ignore them.
