Jeez, what a sad way to deal with a woman who is clearly in distress. They could have made other decisions there too that would have resulted in her being detained fine. She was already holed up in the apartment and wasn't going anywhere. Lots of time to figure this out. Even a taser would have been fine in this situation(albeit if you can still use them)...

Ordering her to put down the knife after serving her the papers was completely unnecessary escalation of a situation that had already ended. It was over. The cop could have just walked away. She was in her home and could have been there with a chainsaw if she wanted to. In these situations, you talk until the other side calms down. You don't make unnecessary threats. As soon as a cop starts screaming orders...he has failed his training.

I don't feel it's really her home though because she was renting it at the time and was due for eviction for not paying rent. Such is life in the Bay Area where everyone lives and dies on some other rich person's property.

I love the foreshadowing the supervisor makes when he repeats the words- "make a hole" over and over. Was the amount of times he says that the same number of holes that ended up in her??

She was served the papers while she stood inside her home. She wasn't charging out of her home until escalated after they stacked up and started giving swat orders.
