Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

Very, very nice.I am a big fan of shotguns.Far more deadly a firearm than it's handgun or rifle counterparts.((depending on range of course))

The poster of the vid asks why the man being shot didn't recoil from the blast. And there are several reasons for this.Especially in this case where it appears to be a riot situation.

Despite the barrel being sawed off,the blast from the gun sounds like a 20gauge and not a 12gauge.Also because this is a riot situation I am guessing that the size of the shot is either #6 or #8.

But yeah that guy is going to die. There were prolly 60 shot half the size of a B.B. inside that guys torso.
LMAO WTH are you talking about? Disregard the above statement.

A simple explination is all that is necessary. Guys flying back and all that is nothing but hollywood bullshit. When you get shot the kinetic energy is absorbed by your body and you stay put. We're not talking about shooting cannonballs here.....Ohhhh! Sounds like fun! XD

Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

This isn't the whole video BTW. I saw this on a DVD years ago. The cameraman gets really close to the guy (a few inches) and you can see the blood profusely dripping out of his chest. It took longer than 3 seconds for him to die like someone else mentioned. Not by much though. It really disturbed me back then. It was my first exposure to deaths caught on camera. I was so shocked at the cameraman getting so close. But....you won't see that! Haha! AY YI YI!

Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

Lemmeh explain.

And we'll start with the physics. We aren't talking bout some pewny AK-47 bullet here. And when it comes to shotguns mass is definitely the predominant factor lol.

Recoil from a gauge is significantly higher than a rifle. The width of a rifle round is about 7.62mm give or take a few mm.The 12ga slug that is about 6inches from my fingers at this moment is as wide as my thumb!
ummm, youre a dumbass, a shotguns recoil is NOT more than a rifle. Their recoil are completely different. A shotgun pushes more, were a rifle produces a stiff jab
I will give you an example. If you shoot a Siberian husky
((center ribcage)) with a rifle the dog is just going to fall.Or possibly keep running. But if you hit the same dog with a great big deer-slug,it will punch that 80lb dog right off it's feet.Trust me,I know from experience. And that was with a 16ga not a 12ga.
youre just an idiot with this statement, and a bigger idiot with the latter statement
now watch this vid.
http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...version-18815/

That guys head weighs about 15 pounds.Watch how that mans brain is blown up and backwards.A couple pounds of matter flies backwards like it was hit with a baseball bat.
the human heads average weight is about 8 pounds
Also,a 7.62mm round isn't going to impact as much tissue as a round that's 3/25 of an inch in diameter.

Again, back to physics. The speed of a shotgun round is much slower than a rifle round.Therefor a rifle round has more of a piercing effect. As a shotgun round has a punching effect much like a .45...

Back to physics again. You will notice that the shot doesn't pierce through the mans neck. This tells me that the shot used wasn't heavy enough to provide for deep penetration. That's how I came to the conclusion that he is using a #6 shot or smaller.
maybe because he didnt shoot him in the neck, so your basis of comparison is completely flawed
Just watch the vid I provided and observe that mans skull being blown vertically upwards.

And as far as gauging the size of shotguns by their sound...
I can tell you if it's a 12,16 or 20ga from a mile away.Literally,
you are the biggest liar. Literally.

Uh, any last words?
Yea, "OY OY OY!" That summed up his last thoughts on being shot in the chest with a gauge...

Re: Shot at Point Blank W/ Shotgun

I remember seeing this back in the 90's on StilesProject.com. It's what got me interested in this sort of material.
