Most shark attacks occur in 3 feet of water or less.

Sharks don't even know what we are. But if something is in distress, sending out signals in the water and is roughly prey size then you just made today's special.

Exactly and as you mentioned a girl panicking and drowning is like a giant underwater dinner bell ringing.

I would show the residents there the video where the two guys were in waist deep water and bull sharks swimming all around them until the one took out his calf - almost identical to her wounds.

Thank you. I couldn't find it but then again I might have not entered all the needed search criteria.
