A gang-affiliated criminal, already known to the Military Police, is being sought by the state security forces after murdering security guard Rogério G.d.A.J. at a gas station.

According to the Civil Police, Rogério worked as a security guard at a bank during the day and as a night watchman on weekends. At the time of the crime, he had just finished another shift and was sitting on his motorcycle, head lowered, when he was surprised by the gunman.

The footage shows the killer, identified as Alex Sander Batista Oliveira, approaching the victim and firing several times with a 9mm pistol. The criminal’s motorcycle collided with the victim’s, who tried to react but was struck by at least three shots to the head and fell to the ground.

After the gunfire, Alex Sander, visibly nervous, returned to his motorcycle but soon went back to the security guard’s body. In the footage, he is seen moving the body twice, as if searching for something, and then lifting the victim’s motorcycle and throwing it onto the body before fleeing.

At the crime scene, six 9mm shell casings were found. The motorcycle used by Alex Sander had been stolen from a motorcycle taxi driver and was later abandoned.

It is thought Alex Sander fled on foot to a port in the city, where he boarded a “rabeta” (a small motorised boat) bound for the rural area of the municipality, where he is believed to have sought shelter at a relatives’ home.
