Russians are more closely related to Asia than Europe so this makes no fucking sense at all. Stalins birthplace was closer to Baghdad than Moscow. Russia is not "european", its more Eurasian than anything. People expect Russians to behave like Europeans, but the geography of their country dictates otherwise.
