This is fucked up. The reason why Somali people are becoming 'pirates' is that Somali waters have become a dumping ground for Europe's nuclear waste as well as being raped for nearly every resource they have. Waste is commonly sold to the Camorra (unknowingly) and they dump it in Somali waters where nobody cares (no government to protest). When the tsunami of 2004 hit, shit got stirred up and there is practically no fishing there anymore, which is what the people lived on. Now they just try to hijack ships to get a little money so they can survive. The media portrays them as a bunch of savages but really they have not killed ONE person to date. Sure they had guns and were ready to rob boats, because they fucking have to. We're just attacking the victims just like any other problem and not attacking the root cause which the media likes to hide.
