almost fell out of a yellow abomination called the octopus. Thing had arms that spun 30-40 feet above the air, with each arm holding carriages that spin idependently as well. The centrifugal force of the spinning began to lift me backwards out of the seat. my knees cleared the safety bar about halfway through the ride. I had to grip the safety bar with my arms or I would have flown out. After it was over I told nobody, I just linked up with my mom and grandma and went home.

Saying this, the terror the lad felt was actually an exhilerating challenge, like being chased by a lion or something. Until he fell.

I agree with everything but the last bit. People have been watching people die for entertainment for thousands of years. Remember why they built the Colloseum?

Civilization in the time of the Roman empire wasn't exactly civilized, I think it would be fair to say we have progressed a little from that time. It really isn't the same, is it?
The Colosseum was used as a form of sport and one of few ways for them to entertain themselves, I believe Deadman is referring to the astonishing elitist morally-devoid notion that IF somebody, for instance this kid gets themselves into a life-threatening situation, its okay to be blase and indifferent because they.. brought it upon themselves? Should have known better? -- I don't know but its fucked up and disgusts me more than I can articulate. I think it quite scares me too.

I also would like to comment on Deadman's reference to Russians, I never like to generalize or stereotype but the majority of the inhumane brutality I see on here, especially in the video section, takes place in Russia. Why is this?

People slag off the USA and the UK but I know where I'd rather be.
