Idk why but I'm a little obsessed over this one.

Others have commented how the alarm is pretty much immediate when she enters the water. Normally, that doesn't occur until someone doesn't resurface in a reasonable amount of time.
i think her head heavily hit the ice while trying to resurface
the guy might have felt it under his feet
hopefully she got uncounscious right after hitting the ice and never saw her death.
