It's pretty lengthy, so I won't repost it here. Personally, I don't think nine years is nearly enough for committing a crime such as this. Yes, his passengers made the choice to get in the vehicle with him, but we don't know if they knew the level of his intoxication, and even if they did, the responsibility ultimately lies with the driver alone. Nobody forced him to drink and drive. |
