Enough power to kill or severly disfigure anything standing 5-50meters behind the rocket. Its basically a Bubble of hot gasses from the rocket motor, hitting someone hard enough to rip limbs off, break bones,cave in your chest etc. Thats why the US Military have been ordering new anti tank missile systems, the AT-4 and Law rockets all had a bad backblast. The AT-4CS uses a system of water in the launcher to significantly weaken the backblast and allow infantry to fire the rockets from indoors without hurting someone in the building. |

I'm trying to find a similar video from Afghanistan that got yanked from YouTube. RPG blast gets one guy who falls back and knocks another off the roof.

definitely rpg casings have wadding in the back to build pressure as they are fired. They fly out the back with the back blast. you can see it hit him in the vid
