the subject matter alone is not what determines whether or not it hits you emotionally. the vids with children make me sad, for sure, and angry at the waste of life. but it takes the actual circumstances of a death and the content of a video to make it hit home. this for instance, the amateur filming makes it all feel more real, like you're there. And we all know that waiting for a long amount of time is going to drive you fucking crazy. His screaming was awful, I could feel his pain.

Tasers are not considered non lethal. There is no such term anymore, tasers, pepper spray, rubber bullets, bean bags, and all other such munitions are termed "less than lethal." The man did not die directly from the taser hit either, he died from suffocation brought on from being handcuffed behind his back and laying on the floor with the pressure of the LEOs on top of him. It is the cause of a majority of in custody deaths. It is easy to sit back and critique what someone else has done, but unless you were there and directly involved in the incident or an expert on use of force techniques then you really can't judge them for what they did.

My dad was an adult probation officer after retiring from the military. One of his probationers got in trouble one time and it took 8 police officers to subdue him and put him in the squad car- you never know just what someone is capable of. He was waiting for 10 hours because they were processing his green card as he was an immigrant. That process can take days at times.
