Robber Tries to Hold-Up Mattress Store, Gets Shot Dead
Sumaré, São Paulo, Brazil A 25-year-old man, Guilherme S., was shot dead during an attempted robbery at a mattress store. Guilherme was hit by three bullets in a shootout with the store's owner. The owner, a registered collector, sport shooter and hunter with a legal firearm, sustained a hand injury but was treated and is in good condition. Police confirmed the owner acted in self-defence and will not face charges. Guilherme's accomplice, who was waiting outside, got on the motorcycle that Guilherme had used, fled in the opposite direction of traffic, and remains at large. |
