I dunno. I’m going to assume it was a rushed execution considering he’s in street clothes, it’s daylight, and he has no obvious marks of torture. Dudes probably kidnapped him and took him on a drive. The human mind has an extremely powerful denial mechanism. I’ll bet it was still fooling him up until the point the trigger was pulled, he was scared but assumed he was going to make it out. At the very least that’s some solace for him.

Does anyone else slide there finger on the time bar and watch some of these videos in slow motion. It’s crazy to see his head explode in super slow motion.
