Retired Brazilian Police Officer Shot Dead in São Paulo
A retired Military Police (MP) sergeant was shot dead by a motorcyclist in front of a building in Vila Matilde, east São Paulo. The victim, identified as I.G.C., 53, was a third sergeant and became inactive in 2020. The officer was talking to a woman in front of the building when the suspect, who had arrived on a motorcycle, approached him. Without taking off his helmet, the subject shot C. Then, with the retired police officer already down, he searched his body, grabbed his gun, and ran off. |

Any good cop never loses his instincts or situational awareness. Someone walking straight to me with a helmet covering his face and reaching for something waist-level on his back, I wouldn’t just be standing there giving him a free shot.  |

The killer was wearing body armor. You can see it on his back when he bends over. Looks like a professional hitman.
