Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
No, they both were in love with other co-workers at the station. Alison (the reporter) was dating and had just moved in with her boyfriend who is an anchor at the station. Adam (the cameraman) was engaged to one of the newsroom producers at the station who, sadly, was working her last day because she and Adam were about to move to a different location and start their lives. It's a horrible tragic event for everyone.

Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
Apparently, the station had to call 911 when Flanagan was fired ... Vester Lee Flanagan's bosses called 911 on the day they fired him from WDBJ because of his volatile behavior. The incident was captured on camera by Adam Ward, the camerman Flanagan killed on Wednesday. At a February 2013 meeting, WDBJ managers told Flanagan he wasn’t a good fit and would be terminated. Flanagan—who went by the on-air name Bryce Williams—became “agitated,” then issued a threat, according to documents obtained by The Daily Beast that were filed in Flanagan's lawsuit against the station in 2014. (Flanagan lost.) “He repeated … his feeling that firing him would lead to negative consequences for me personally and for the station,” former station manager Dan Dennison said. The manager said Flanagan “said he had to go to the bathroom, stood up abruptly, stormed out of the room, and slammed the door”—prompting a frightened sales team to take shelter in a locked office. During the episode, Flanagan told police there was a watermelon in a station hallway and that was akin to someone calling him the N-word. Flanagan flipped off employees and swore at them, which was recorded by Ward. (Flanagan told Ward to “lose your big gut” and turned off Ward's camera). Finally, Flanagan handed his boss a small wooden cross and warned, “You’ll need this.” — Katie Zavadski http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/...got-fired.html |

Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
Not so much common sense, as confusion. "Guns are for killing." Correct. Guns are for killing... Bad guys Pests Food Maimed pets (horses, wild west era, etc.) And, if you're a worthless fuck, killing good people. Hammers are for... Building houses Building shelves Building garages Home improvement Mechanics And if how a worthless fuck, Killing good people. There really is no difference between the two, other than you focus on one tool when it benefits your political stance, whereas the other you completely ignore. When a contractor builds you're house, nowhere in any statement you ever make will you think "thank god for that amazing hammer he used." You focus on the gun because in reality you don't consider it a tool in totality. It's an easy scapegoat for a deeper problem (read fucked up society). And when that deeper problem it's one you can't understand how to address, or seems too hopeless, you attack the tool (gun) because it's better than feeling helpless to a fucked up culture. |

As one with experience in the industry, when the camera is "on", you have to be in "the zone". You're being filmed in front of thousands of viewers, and your job depends on how well you can articulate and be charismatic on screen. This means you block out all distractions. I'm sure she felt a presence, but dismissed it as just a passersby. It was a real "get 'em when they aren't lookin" killing. So so unfortunate and surreal. Her face she made as she realized what was happening will haunt me for days and makes me fear for my girlfriend who recently escaped a shit job working with a disgruntled co-worker who has a criminal history. |

What a senseless double murder. Even if what he claimed was true, that is no reason to kill two people. Of course he has to pull the race card to try and justify murdering two innocent people on live T.V. I hope he rots in hell for this bullshit. |

Make up your own mind but Mike here has shared a perspective on this worth reading, even if you don't agree, at least read what he puts forth before deciding what you want to think. "Virginia journalist shooting False Flag Hoax." http://gmmuk.com/virginia-journalist...lse-flag-hoax/ |

Ban guns... Good luck.. Criminals don't obey laws. Ban guns, take em off the shelf? They'll just make/manufacture guns and sell those illegally. Would become a HUGE illegal business. (everyone knows America loves it's drugs.. and those are illegal too. Doesn't stop those people.) Not to mention all the arms that people already own here. (some families, every member of the family including the babies have a gun.. |

It's America and he has the right to express his opinion. I also have the right to express mine - he's completely wrong and showing himself to be rather unstable. It's people like that who often need to be watched because they blow up, just like the shooter here. Guns are made for only one purpose: death. They need to be brought under control. Churches, community centers, mental health facilities and families need to help their loved ones learn to turn from violence. The two things together will make this world a better place. The Creator wants us to turn our swords into plowshares, not take up arms to kill each other.
