Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
A gun's purpose is for killing? Yet another liberal talking point. Over 300 million legal firearms in America, and most of them have never killed anybody. In fact, it is pretty safe to say (based on the aforementioned statistics) that more lives have been saved by the presence of a firearm than have been taken unjustly by a firearm. On to your next liberal talking point. Did you hear about what happened in China the same day as the Newtown school shooting? According to the report, "BEIJING -- A knife-wielding man slashed 22 children and an adult at an elementary school in central China on Friday, state media reported, the latest in a series of attacks on children in the country." The report goes on to say "There was a particular string of knife attacks against schoolchildren across the country in early 2010 that killed nearly 20 and wounded more than 50. "In one incident that year, a man slashed 28 children, two teachers and a security guard in a kindergarten in eastern China." So you see, someone bent on causing harm on a grand scale will do so, and often just as effectively, with whatever weapon they so choose. You say the right to keep and bear arms is ridiculous, but that right exists because the founding fathers had just sent your bloody redcoats running back across the pond, and didn't want to see the same kind of tyranny in their own newly-founded government. You may be fine with being a subject, but I'll stick with being a citizen. |

Can we sticky this in a new category called "american deaths"? I kinda get tired of all the dead girls in countries where they dont give a shit about life. I want to see some closer to home.

Glock is really pretty irrelevant to stopping power, it's the bullet that determines that... Based on the shots fired, most likely a 9mm unless he reloaded (doubtful). Also, from the blocky "heavy" look of the gun, I would say it's more likely a cheaper weapon. Hi-point, maybe? |
