A 20-year-old transgender woman, Jullyane F., was murdered and dismembered this Friday (30) in Bagé, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil, near the country's border with Uruguay. According to the Civil Police, a 16-year-old boy, who is reportedly the victim's boyfriend, would have been responsible for the death.

According to the police, the teenager was caught red-handed and brought before the Public Prosecutor's Office. He showed police where he had hidden Jullyane's body, in a nearby house. Jullyane's limbs were found abandoned in a stream, inside a suitcase.

The two began dating about 10 days ago and the crime occurred after a fight.

Jullyane was from Dom Pedrito and was visiting the teenager. According to the police officer, the minor coldly described the details of the crime.

After strangling his girlfriend with a wire, he dismembered the young woman with an axe, put parts of her body in a suitcase and threw it in a thicket on the side of the BR-153 highway.

Two women went to the police to report that the teenager, a relative of theirs, had told them about the crime. The police went to the house where the teenager lived where he was apprehended. He said coldly that he killed her because she wouldn't let him leave. He left her head and torso in the vicinity of the house where they lived.
