I am actually very irritated by the fact that NOBODY at that square knows that waving a jacket towards a fire is only going to 'fan the flames'. All you have to do is collect jackets and pile them on him to smother the fire. Leather would do the trick just fine, but don't use fir. When are people going to stop worrying about the new I-phones that are coming out and focus on real life skills like ....for example....putting out a small fire that will save a life?

97% of the worlds population is a herd of cattle that is meant to follow the rest of the herd, and the other 3% are the individuals that are capable of thinking for themselves. That means the majority of the people that watched this video probably saw nothing wrong with what was done, and would have done the same thing.

In a case like this, i think its better the guy died than having to live with such horrific burns for the rest of his life, which he would have if someone had thought to throw the jackets on him instead of fan him. Imagine how people would act around you? You would become a recluse and grow to hate the body you inhabit. Thats a fate worse than death.

There had to be a more effective way to put that fire out beside whipping him with jackets. If anything, the wind is feeding the flames.
