Reading the topic title I thought maybe this was a guy trying to steal cable TV and climbed up on a telephone pole and got juiced. I'm ashamed to say that when I was in my mid-20s I tried to do this very thing. I got our ladder out, layed it against the telephone pole at 2:00 in the AM, and climbed up with the intention of reconnecting the cable TV coaxial. Then a cop car approached as if God himself was metering justice for my dark crime while I'm at the top of the telephone pole and I braced myself to be arrested... only to have the brain dead cop drive right by me and my conspicuous 15' ladder on the sidewalk and up the street and out of site. I was saved but got spooked and never attempted anything like that again.
