Recovering the Body of Drowned Woman From the River
In the Urabá Antioquia region of Colombia, a 24-year-old woman, Vanessa P., drowned when she was swept away by the rising Mutatá river whilst she was out at a bathing resort with her four-year-old. The child was also swept away, and remains missing, alongside two fishermen. A total of seven people were washed away when heavy rainfall caused the banks of the Mutatá river to burst - three were rescued alive. PS. Credit to WonderMomma for the watermark. |

How do the banks of a river burst? I’ve heard of dams bursting, and even levees bursting, but the banks? That would be impressive to see!  |

Happens when theres been alot of rainfall causing the hight of the water to rise hence "bursting the banks" happens in ponds rivers lakes etc
