This was thought to be a problem years before this clip emerged. The only thing that's hilarious is people lacking critical faculties thinking they've "nailed it" with one factoid.

The set is remarkably authentic; far more so than the two high budget films made about her recently. A hoax is extremely unlikely; this clip is real but can only be objectively verified by the release of Mollie Nelson's footage (assuming it's of higher quality).

No it doesn't, the drop isn't "perfect" and is actually distorted itself. What does a perfect drop even sound like? The movement is entirely consistent with what people reported seeing: a violent jerk forward.

Here's an actual frame grab from the lost tape of Chris Chubbuck's suicide. Since it's in color and they used color equipment back then, and since that's the very make and model of the handgun she used, there can be no doubt that it's really real! Really! I swear!
