As she braces for the blow, she lets the phone fall from where the stick would have hit her. Her head took the entire force. otherwise, the phone would've probably cushioned the blow; even if just by a fraction it probably would've turned out quite differently. Conclusion: if ever you find yourself surrounded by Brazilians with a huge log and you have a cellphone on your head, keep a firm grip on that phone! Brazilian survival rule #613. |

I think the plate spread damage over head so it doesn’t cave in. And the hitting to face brings on more we call it around here when you get knocked out go stiff and convulse the “funky chicken” she knocked out to the extreme. Brain damage probably. Something ...

The thunk to the top of her head, caused a skull fracture with rapid bleeding in the skull causing increased intracranial pressure {closed head injury} With increasing pressure on the brain, she seized - pressure down to the brain stem she herniated and died

No need for broken skin when the brain’s just had a major jolt like that- thus the convulsions.. the wincing pain she exhibited as they were pulling her up was an incredible hematoma pressuring her brain, till she passed out and died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
