They gave them time to back off.. When the boat engaged the ship, they were making an attempt to board with a Jacobs ladder.. They werent expecting to be greeted with .556  |

Yes, this incident was in the gulf of Aden. It's difficult to discern what is incoming and what is outgoing on the video, but TL did fire a warning shot. The pirates opened fire immediately following the warning shot. That's when the team went weapons free. |
