Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

Interesting this is the US yet the "driver" is sitting in the passenger seat. Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car
it's the camera. she's using the frontal camera of her phone on the live feature of facebook it mirrors the image like that it's completely normal

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

Side thought: Her talking about not getting her last words to her man, when she was with him while he was dying and ignored him to broadcast on Facebook and didn't say a thing to him is bizarre.
i thought the exact same thing
although i do understand different reactions that one was the weirdest 'cause sure talk to the camera but you can see the guy look at the camera and agonize and she barely looks at him
i'd be talking a lot....sure id be scared to move because the cop is clearly out of his mind and could shoot me too in front of my kid but she won't talk to the guy it's so weird

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

He appears to be the passenger here, or it must be some shitty camera that gives a reverse image.

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

What stupid whore comments here again also the Topic starter.
He hes no threat to anyone, and his rep sheet, Shows nothing a Person would deserve serious harm for. U guys again try to justify mass murder in the US by Cops. I just saw yesterday a Statistic from the NYT 505 unarmed civilians shot Januar-June 2016 by Police officers in the US. The US loses each year more civilians to their Police than terrorists, they havent even lost so many yearly in the past wars.
WHat a Police state

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

Okay, so how can one thing be "normally" as in, judgment, and then other be a legal process that requires a fix-it ticket? You are contradicting yourself.

I got a ticket for no front plates when I moved from Georgia to Colorado with husband being restationed as I was waiting on my front plate holder to get there since my car didn't even HAVE one so the plate was in the dashboard.

He asked for my license and said he was just going to run my name. He comes back with a $15 ticket for no plates. That's my one and only ticket. It happens, some cops are just on a power trip but technically, they aren't wrong. I didn't have my plate on. Did it suck? Yes.
No contradiction at all. Cops have the discretion whether they are going to write a ticket or not. The vast majority of cops, when they pull one over for not having plates, and they find out the car is not stolen and the plates were recently mailed to the new owner, will tell the person to put their plates on and move on their way. The few cops who want to be pricks, will write a fix-it ticket that requires you to drive to a police station to show you installed the plates. Then you have the real assholes who will make it a non-correctable ticket where if you were guilty, you would have to pay a fine. HOWEVER, the law says for the first offense it is a fix it ticket. The ticket will be dismissed by the judge but you waste half a day in court waiting for your case to be called. It's just harassment.

Same thing happened to my son who also was pulled over for no plates and the cop got all pissy that he had a CCW permit and a gun, and a very expensive car. The judge thew out that ticket too because it was a 1st offense and should have been a fix-it ticket. He also wrote him up for an illegal turn. What the cop didn't realize was that there was a dash cam that showed there was no illegal turn and how the cop was just a rude jealous SOB.

Dash cams are vital. Record every interaction with the pirates.

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

This seems to be the only country where cops are shooting first and asking questions later.

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile

It seems to me a deadly case of misunderstanding. The only side of the story we know of is the girlfriends and from her own perspective the officer asked Phil for identification and as Phil reached for that information he told the officer he has a pistol. Now from the police officer's perspective he may have taken that as a threat he was going to shoot. Unfortunately, since we don't have the context of the incident it's impossible to say. We do know they were in possession of drugs (by the girlfriends own admission) and that may have made Phil appear very suspicious and nervous during the stop.

Even though the girlfriend seems pretty strange I think she should have been treated better from what we saw in the video. I don't understand how she was able to use her phone to video if she was handcuffed from behind in the back of the police car.

The person I truly feel sorry for is that little girl. Hearing her try to comfort her mother is pretty damn heart breaking.

Is she on the drivers side or passenger side of the car???I read that he was driving but if that's so, and it looks like it in this video, then that car has a steering wheel on the opposite side. Anyone??

- The record is mirrored or if not, the steering wheel is on the other side because the car imported England
