I'm my 20 years as a cop, 12 of my colleagues have been killed in the line of duty. And I have been medically retired from being permanently disabled in a foot pursuit. I gave up my livelihood. It's still hard figuring out why. Now, life isn't worth a hell of a lot. From all the shit I've seen.. I find a bit of solace from the people here on DR. |

It's sad because the officer could have probably been saved if anybody had a fucking lick of basic first aid. YES move him. Get him on his back, open the shirt, keep pressure on the wound. Stop fucking around with the radio and tell someone to call 911. The hospital deals with the trauma and internal damage, just control the bleeding at a bare minimum.
