Re: Police Flee Room After Using Stun Gun on Man Who Burst into Flames
Good old shitty US policing. You can tell they’re amateurs as they didn’t try and extinguish the flames with bullets. |

Yep, you can die from that little of a fire. There's a bunch of things that can happen, that in combination will lead to your death. - The heat will cook your organs, which can cause internal bleeding and swelling, in this case, I suspect brain swelling (cerebral edema) would've been a real concern. - The fire can cause shrinkage of your organs, it's actually possible to be strangled by your own skin due to it tightening from the heat. - This shrinkage also impedes your body's ability to move liquids around, which leads to more edema and organ failure. - You can suffocate. - If you happen to breath-in or swallow a lot of smoke and/or fire, that can also cause internal bleeding. - And if you burn off enough of your skin, you lose your ability to prevent or fight infection. MRSA is common in hospitals, so if you manage to get a staph infection like that, you're pretty much fucked. And I haven't even gone into how getting tazed could complicate things lol. |

I am guessing that small fire cooked his brain, neck, some of his arteries in his chest which probably affected the lungs and heart.
