Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Second degree yes, not first. First degree requires motive and intent. 99% of the time the suspect knows the victim. |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Well I don't normally intend to be "pro police". I intend to be unbiased. To me, it's bizarre to be pro police just for the sake of it. Police, are in fact human beings, just like the rest of us. There is nothing to stop your average psychopath from obtaining a badge. There is no reason to assume that a cop is inherently moral. This video demonstrates precisely that. I think most cops probably are reasonably good people, but I tend to think that about most people whether they are a cop or not. We have proven with video footage that cops lie, AND plant evidence. Let's stop assuming that only honest people can swear to an oath. Newflash, liars, can swear to oaths too. |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
Honestly, I think it's like a good 60/40 split on blame here...with the 60 on the cop's side because he did have control when they were face down/hands out, and he did have backup with him to go cuff them while he covered. But the moron who got shot isn't without blame. He didn't follow orders for shit, and kept fidgeting around his waistline, with the final reach for his waist being his last. Still mostly on the cop who had control, but stupid got the best of stupid ass.

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
'Not real' is exactly that. There is no excuse for the shooting, totally unprofessional and incompetent action by the cops. |

Re: Police Executing Unarmed Daniel Shaver
He was panicked, and scared to death. Many people can't think straight in those situations. And the officer was asking him to do something he wasn't capable of doing under that stress. The guy reached back, which was a dumb thing to do in that situation, to fix his legs. The officer told him to keep his legs crossed, and walk on his knees with his hands in the air. A hard thing to do for many people. Add to that that you're scared to death, and this guy couldn't do it. He was shot trying to follow orders, by breaking an order. His legs came uncrossed, and he couldn't re-cross them , so he was going to lift his leg up over the other. That's when the piece of garbage, I mean cop murdered, I mean shot him. |
